The Menkreo Method
About the Method
The Menkreo Method is an integrative psychological approach that brings together evidence-based principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment research.
It was developed to help people to improve people's mental health and to build deeper self-understanding, emotional balance, and meaningful relationships.
The process focuses on three core areas: awareness, adaptation, and connection.
You learn to observe their thoughts and emotions with clarity, regulate difficult feelings, and create more secure and fulfilling patterns in relationships, with others and with yourself. The method is structured and goal-oriented, yet deeply personal. Each process begins by identifying the experiences and patterns that maintain psychological distress. From there, you develop practical skills for emotional regulation and psychological flexibility, while clarifying the personal values that give your life direction.
The aim of the Menkreo Method is not only to relieve symptoms, but to promote long-term growth and live a life close to your personal values.

About
Hi, I'm Esther.
I am a psychologist based in the Netherlands, offering online therapy in English and German. I'm originally from Germany, and having lived and trained in an international environment, I'm familiar with the challenges that can come with living between cultures, navigating change, or feeling out of place.
In my work, I tend to be calm, attentive, and direct when it's helpful. I value taking the time to really understand what is going on for you, rather than rushing to quick solutions. At the same time, I focus on helping you move forward in ways that feel meaningful and realistic in your everyday life.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, but still find themselves stuck in certain patterns, especially in relationships or in how they relate to their own thoughts and emotions.
I completed my education and training in the Netherlands and am registered with the Dutch Association of Psychologists (NIP).
My background combines clinical psychology and organizational experience. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a People & Culture Manager in an international company and as a psychologist within work and organizational psychology, supporting employees experiencing stress and burnout.
Alongside my private practice, I currently work with children and adolescents as a psychologist at an international school in the Netherlands.
